- Beginning
January 1st, 2010, we will be
going to a semester basis for lessons.
There will be an opt out for this, though, for those who
aren't able to schedule an entire semester. Basically, there will be
two paths:
- Semester:
First Semester begins January 1st 2010. For
those joining after this period, your semester will begin with your
first paid lesson. One semester consists of a non-refundable tuition
payment of 360.00.
This pays for 12 lessons to be used in a 3
month period. All lessons must be taken
within this period of time. Regular weekly lessons will be scheduled,
and to some degree I will work with reschedules, but remember that my
time slots are limited, so I may not be able to find another time if
you miss your appointed lesson time. In order for me to reschedule, I
must have 24 hours notice.
- For those
beginning after the 1st of January, your semester will commence on
your first paid lesson date and exist for 3 months. At the first of
April (end of first semester) we will prorate your balance to start
your second semester with the rest.
- Per Lesson:
The per lesson
rate will go to 40.00 hour (50 minutes)
payable at the time of the lesson for those not able to go with the semester
plan. Policies will be similar to
2009 policies
for this rate. These will be scheduled with at least 24 hours notice.
The first "lesson" is free, and
consists of a get-to-know-you session in which we go over your instrument, or
instrument needs if you haven't purchased yet, and do a banjo anatomy lesson and
address setup issues or make instrument recommendations if you don't have a
banjo yet.
