I'm putting this out for free now. Eventually, this will be a registered students only page, for either my students or registered paying online students. So enjoy! Note: Quicktime is necessary to view these files. They are large files, aroudn 30meg each, so broadband or extreme patience and the willingness to tie up a phone line for hours is also required. Here's a link to download QuickTime: Link
| First portion of Pony Express - Down neck (28 meg - broadband recommended. About 45 seconds via cable. While you're waiting, a little bit about the song. This was one of the songs on the "Dueling Banjos" soundtrack album that came out after the release of the movie "Deliverance". Although it has a very unusual chord progression for a bluegrass song, it's a dandy, and I set out to learn it rather than Dueling Banjos. This is the start of the song. The B part is a set of descending Don Reno-ish three finger pattern chords including a fake key change for a moment. I'll have the up-neck stuff on here soon. |
